PRIVACY POLICY FOR BRAIN2 YOUTUBE INTAKE

Brain2 YouTube Intake is a private, single-user utility operated by Kavalaris LLC. It is not offered as a public consumer application.

YOUTUBE API SERVICES

Brain2 YouTube Intake uses YouTube API Services and requests access to the authorized user's YouTube account. It reads playlist names and identifiers, playlist-item identifiers, video identifiers, titles, and availability status so it can treat the private playlist named “Brain” as a capture queue. After a source has been captured and validated locally, the app may remove only that exact item from the playlist and verify its absence.

The app also retrieves public video metadata, descriptions, chapters, and available English captions or transcripts to create local research-source notes. It does not upload or edit videos, change video visibility, post comments, or perform advertising or audience profiling.

STORAGE AND SECURITY

The OAuth client and refresh token are stored in the operator's macOS login Keychain. Captured source notes, transcripts, provenance, and the collection manifest are stored in the operator's private, Dropbox-backed Brain2 vault. Brain2 YouTube Intake does not store the user's Google password.

SHARING AND USE

Kavalaris LLC does not sell, rent, advertise against, or otherwise share Google or YouTube user data. Access is limited to the operator. Google and YouTube process requests needed for YouTube access, and Dropbox processes private file synchronization under their respective policies. Google user data is used only to provide the disclosed playlist-collection function and in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

RETENTION, DELETION, AND REVOCATION

The OAuth token is retained until it is revoked or replaced. Captured source notes and provenance are retained in the private Brain2 vault until the operator deletes them. An authorized user may request deletion by emailing info@kavalaris.io. Verified deletion requests will be completed within 30 days.
